Adam Shand is one of Australia’s most experienced investigative journalists and the bestselling author of six non-fiction books. A Walkley Award winner, Adam has worked in all media genres from newspapers, magazines and television to radio, podcasting, feature films and documentary making.

Adam is currently working with Bryan Cockerill writing and researching two factual crime series, produced by The Full Box, for the Nine Network.  Both series will launch in 2019 and Adam is also co-writing a drama series with Andrew Knight.

Adam has four Podcasts currently airing on Southern Cross Austereo’s PodcastOne Australia platform, bringing an independent and forthright view of our world fashioned from 35 years of journalism.

Adam began his career at The Australian newspaper in the mid-1980s as a financial journalist before moving into television with the Nine Network’s Sunday and Business Sunday programs. A stint as Nine’s Africa correspondent based in Zimbabwe followed before he returned to Australia to work on the Today show and A Current Affair.

His crime writing career began in Melbourne’s gangland war followed by forays into the outlaw bikie world and the untold story of Australian shoplifting gangs abroad in the 1960s. Adam was a producer of the series, based on his book The Kangaroo Gang, produced by The Full Box for BBCW.  Adam was the leading talent in the series as he is for both series of Australian Crime Stories.
