Jason Behan is Vice President, Acquisitions for Universal Pictures Australia, reporting into the Universal Pictures Home Entertainment Content Group.  Jason is responsible for acquiring & producing content across all genres for distribution across a broad range of platforms.  Whilst looking to continue UPHE CG’s long running success with Australian content in home entertainment, Jason is also looking for opportunities across various media platforms.

The UPHE Content Group is an innovative multi rights, content hub housed in Universal Pictures Home Entertainment. Headquartered in London, with four additional offices located in Sydney, Tokyo, Los Angeles & France, the UPHE Content Group‘s role is to discover, acquire and produce world class content and make it available to local and global audiences & consumers everywhere.  The structure provides UPHE Content Group with access to global NBCUniversal distribution channels whilst enabling the business to stay true to its indie roots.  Working across multiple genres, our multi-platform distribution footprint is tailored to each and every piece of content, with a release footprint that reaches across theatrical, physical, digital (SVOD & Transactional & apps) and TV (Free & Pay), as well as consumer products.

Prior to joining Universal Pictures Home Entertainment Content Group, Jason managed all local acquisitions for Beyond for their international and home entertainment divisions and has spent 15 years acquiring and releasing content to the Australian market.

Jason will be co-hosting a Roundtable with Amelia Rowe (Acquisition Manager) focused on feature film.

Ready, Steady, Pitch!

Whilst looking to continue Universal Pictures Home Entertainment Content Group’s long running success in bringing the best of Australian television to the home entertainment market, Jason is also looking for opportunities with Australian films for theatrical distribution and factual entertainment through non-traditional channels.
