Kristy Allen is Project and Communications Director for Good Pitch Australia and Shark Island Institute. She has a Bachelor of Business and holds a Graduate Certificate in Creative Producing from AFTRS.

In her role with the Institute, Kristy’s responsibilities include managing communications and liaison with filmmakers, donors, stakeholders and the broader Good Pitch community; and project management for filmmaker workshops, Good Pitch Australia events and initiatives. She manages The Shark Island Story Development & Impact Labs and coordinates The Sessions for the Institute.

Prior to joining the team, she spent 6 years working in Sydney’s leading consumer PR agencies for a number of global brands including Procter & Gamble, Reckitt Benckiser and Kelloggs. These roles involved developing and executing media strategies and delivery and management of high-profile brand ambassadors and talent. Highlights include managing Australian media relations for P&G during the London 2012 Olympic Games and playing an integral role in the launch of a brand-new product to market in the ANZ region.

Kristy is systems driven and passionate about providing strong, creative support to the Shark Island Institute team and the family of Good Pitch filmmakers. Working in the not-for-profit sector, Kristy utilises her skills and experience to help enhance the impact these important films have on social issues.
