BADFAITH VR & ABC

Leo Faber is an Executive Producer with over 20 year’s experience making content for broadcast. Faber works full time as an Executive Producer in the Factual department of the ABC working alongside Head of Factual Steve Bibb.

Since 2015, in his spare time, Faber makes VR content as the co-founder of Badfaith VR alongside acclaimed contemporary artist Shaun Gladwell. Their film, Orbital Vanitas was part of official selection for Sundance 2017, and has since been exhibited at 17 film festivals including the Marche Du Film in Cannes.

Faber recently secured the first ever Screen Australia VR production finance for a documentary project for the VR documentary Storm Riders, commissioned by SBS.  Faber has curated the VR program for the Sydney Film Festival for the last two years and recently produced the Badfaith VR work Exquisite Corpse which premiered at MIFF in 2018.

As well as VR, Faber has spent the last six years as a TV exec helping forge multi-million-dollar co-financing deals with international co-producers plus overseeing the creation of dozens of hours of TV for both broadcast and digital audiences. Faber was also Head of Content at Red Bull Australia for 2 years prior to joining the ABC.
