In his 30 year career Michael has worked as an actor, writer and producer in the entertainment industry in the UK, Canada, New Zealand and Australia. He has written stage plays, TV drama, films and light entertainment shows. Forming a partnership with Ambience Entertainment in 2003, Michael executive produced Go Go Stop, Erky Perky (co-produced with Canadian company CCI Entertainment), Sharky’s Friends, event TV such as the MTV Music Awards, Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards and preschool program, Larry the Lawnmower and Jay’s Jungle.

In 2006 Michael returned to drama production and with Ambience Entertainment, ‘crossed a cultural milestone’ in programming with Wait for Me in Sydney a 26-part drama co-production with China’s number one broadcaster CCTV.

He wrote and produced the feature film Dying Breed (released 2008), produced Sean Byrne’s The Loved Ones (released 2009), Tomorrow When the War Began based on the first book in John Marsden’s series of the same name (released 2010) and Killer Elite starring Jason Statham and Robert de Niro (released 2011). In 2015, he produced the 6 x 1 hour TV series Tomorrow, When the War Began for the ABC, and has just completed Storm Boy due for release in January 2019.

In feature film development, he has Treasure in the Badlands, Barton the Ghost Catcher, Chasing Glory, Interceptor by Matthew Reilly, Trackers, The Dead of the Night, and Wolf Force One!. The TV development slate includes, The Man with Grave Secrets by John Doyle, God of the Cross, All the Queen’s Men, The Agency, and The Contage.

He has also written Great White the sequel to The Reef which is slated for production mid 2019.
