Adrian Swift – Head of Content, ABC Television
Adrian Swift has been hanging round The Media for far too long. He has tried his hand at everything from newspapers to television, terrestrial to multichannel, digital, social and even sitting on boards. In 2014 Swift decided to tinker at the ABC and took up the role of Head of Content and Creative Development where he leads the team of Content Heads in developing and commissioning content across all genres.
In his previous role as Director of Development and Digital at Nine, Swift led the network’s integrated digital content strategy and had the good fortune to oversee highly successful series such as The Voice, Big Brother and Celebrity Apprentice. Swift returned to Nine after a 12 year stint in the UK where he worked for Endemol, Mirror Newspapers and founded etv, the UK’s top branded media, production and strategy company. Prior to working in the UK, Adrian spent many years in both commercial and public television in Australia including two stints at SBS, and many years as both a presenter and producer before joining Getaway as its founding producer. He began his career in media as a journalist at the Sydney Morning Herald.
