Ted spearheads Blueprint Law’s film and television practice, with particular expertise in the financing of screened entertainment. Whether it’s a co-production, tax-incentivised investment, privately or institutionally sourced finance, Ted has advised on the monetising of copyright works for over 15 years. He also develops and helps bring to market a wide range of specialised investment opportunities in the media sector.
Ted’s experience extends to all matters relating to production and development of content (scripted and non-scripted) and digital and traditional distribution deals. He drafts, negotiates and advises on creative agreements, complex financing arrangements and corporate documentation.
He worked at London’s leading specialist entertainment and media law firm, Olswang (now CMS) for nine years, advising producers, financiers, studios, broadcasters, tech giants and distributors. He then moved to Ingenious Media in 2011, where he was head of a large in-house Legal & Business Affairs team involved in production and funding of a very wide variety of film and television projects around the world, before joining Blueprint Law in September 2016.
Ted is admitted to practise the laws of England and Wales and is currently working on additionally qualifying in Australia. He’s a director and the company secretary of the Gold Coast Film Festival and an AACTA Member.
